📢 ABOUT THE POSITION
Clicks Group is looking for 3 Shop Assistants / Cashiers to join its team in Midrand.
The successful candidates will be responsible for providing excellent customer service while efficiently handling point-of-sale (POS) activities, cash transactions, merchandising and general store operations.
This position is suited to individuals who enjoy working with customers, have good communication skills and can work accurately in a busy retail environment.
🛍️ KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
The successful candidates will be responsible for:
- Executing all point-of-sale operational activities accurately and efficiently.
- Scanning merchandise correctly and processing customer payments.
- Ensuring high levels of accuracy when handling transactions.
- Processing and actioning ClubCard rewards where applicable.
- Handling cash safely and responsibly at all times.
- Promoting the Clicks ClubCard programme to customers.
- Enrolling new ClubCard members to help achieve participation targets.
- Informing customers about current promotions and special offers.
- Providing friendly, professional and efficient customer service.
- Acting as a Clicks brand ambassador and creating a positive customer experience.
- Maintaining visibility and assisting customers with their queries.
- Performing merchandising duties according to store and visual merchandising standards.
- Ensuring shelves and displays are properly maintained.
- Supporting general housekeeping duties within the store.
- Keeping the store environment clean, organised and presentable.
- Maintaining up-to-date knowledge of products, ranges, promotions and events.
- Providing customers with accurate product and promotional information.
- Supporting the company’s vision of being the customer’s first-choice health and beauty retailer.
- Following all company policies, procedures and operational standards.
📚 KNOWLEDGE REQUIRED
Candidates should have knowledge of:
- Basic mathematical calculations.
- Retail and FMCG environments.
- Merchandising and promotional principles.
- Stock management procedures.
- Customer service excellence.
- Point-of-sale operations.
⭐ SKILLS REQUIRED
The ideal candidate should have:
- Good planning and organising skills.
- Problem-solving abilities.

💼 EXPERIENCE
Previous experience in a customer-facing role within a retail or FMCG store operations environment will be advantageous.
However, candidates who meet the essential educational requirements and demonstrate strong customer-service and communication skills are encouraged to consider the opportunity.
🎓 MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
Applicants must have:
- Grade 12 / Matric – Essential
- Mathematics 50% at Grade 12 level – Desirable
- English 50% at Grade 12 level – Desirable
- Previous retail/customer-facing experience will be advantageous.
