🔧 KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
The successful candidate will assist with daily production and packaging activities, including:
- Ensure conveyors are moving correctly and monitor the production line for squashed bread.
- Place bread that has not been removed onto the conveyors evenly.
- Weigh bread according to the required procedures.
- Complete the relevant production check sheets accurately.
- Check bread temperatures and record the required information.
- Remove products that do not meet the required quality standards.
- Perform basic and manual production-related tasks as instructed.
- Follow the relevant Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for the workstation.
- Complete all required operational documentation.
- Perform any other reasonable work-related duties assigned by the Supervisor.
- Maintain a clean, hygienic and organised work area at all times.
🥖 OPERATIONS
The General Worker will support the production process by ensuring that products are handled correctly and that production activities are completed according to the required standards.
Daily duties may include:
- Monitoring production equipment and conveyors.
- Ensuring products move correctly through the production process.
- Identifying and removing substandard products.
- Conducting required product checks.
- Recording production information accurately.
- Following workstation procedures and instructions.
- Supporting the production team with manual tasks.
- Ensuring operational documentation is completed correctly.
🦺 SAFETY & QUALITY STANDARDS
Food safety and product quality are an important part of this position.
The successful candidate must:
- Adhere to the company’s Food Safety Policy.
- Follow all applicable food safety requirements.
- Maintain high hygiene standards.
- Report non-conformances where required.
