An exciting opportunity is available for 3 General Workers in Berlin, Eastern Cape. The successful candidates will provide general production support and assist with the effective and smooth running of the mill.

🎯 PURPOSE OF THE ROLE
The main purpose of the General Worker position is to provide support with general production requirements to ensure the effective operation and smooth running of the mill.
The successful candidates will assist with daily production activities, stock checks, housekeeping, reporting and other general duties required within the production environment.
🎓 EDUCATION & QUALIFICATION
Applicants must have:
- Grade 12 / Matric
🧠 KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS
Applicants should have the following knowledge and skills:
- Basic numeracy skills.
- Knowledge of production processes.
- Understanding of health and safety rules.
- Ability to work in a production environment.
- Ability to follow instructions and procedures.

🔧 MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES
The successful candidates will be responsible for supporting the production team and ensuring that daily operations run effectively.
Duties will include:
- Ensuring that all required resources are available according to production requirements.
- Supporting the production process and assisting with daily operational activities.
- Reporting any mechanical or electrical problems to the control room or Supervisor.
- Identifying issues that could affect the smooth running of the plant.
- Accurately recording required production information and data.
- Completing tipping logs and other relevant production records.
- Responding to manual production bottlenecks.
- Assisting with clearing chocked elevators and other production blockages where required.
- Conducting visual inspections of the production area.
- Checking the availability of raw materials.
- Reporting any shortages, deviations or other concerns to the control room or Supervisor.
- Performing daily stock-taking duties.
- Maintaining good housekeeping standards throughout the work area.
- Assisting with general filing and data recording.
- Performing ad hoc duties as required by management or the Supervisor.
🦺 HEALTH & SAFETY
The General Workers will be required to follow all applicable health and safety rules and procedures while performing their duties.
Employees must:

- Report unsafe conditions and operational problems.
- Use equipment and tools responsibly.

- Follow instructions from Supervisors and production personnel.
