This opportunity is aimed at individuals who are eager to enter the retail industry, gain workplace experience and develop important customer service and retail skills.
📌 WHAT WILL YOU DO?
Successful candidates will assist with various retail operations and customer service activities, including:
• Efficiently executing point-of-sale (POS) activities.
• Scanning merchandise accurately and processing customer payments.
• Handling cash safely and responsibly.
• Assisting customers with ClubCard rewards.
• Promoting the Clicks ClubCard and assisting with enrolling new members.
• Informing customers about promotions and special offers.
• Providing friendly, professional and efficient customer service.
• Acting as a positive Clicks brand ambassador.
• Assisting with merchandising and maintaining store standards.
• Keeping shelves and displays neat, organised and properly stocked.
• Performing general housekeeping duties.
• Keeping up to date with products, ranges, promotions and events.
• Providing customers with correct product information and assistance.
• Following company policies, procedures and instructions.
🎓 MINIMUM REQUIREMENT
Grade 12 / Matric is essential. ✅
Applicants who have the following will have an added advantage:
⭐ Maths 50% at Grade 12 level
⭐ English 50% at Grade 12 level
⭐ Previous experience in a customer-facing role within a retail or FMCG environment
💡 SKILLS & KNOWLEDGE
The ideal candidate should have:
✅ Basic maths calculation skills
✅ Good communication skills
✅ Computer literacy
✅ Good numeracy skills
✅ Strong customer service skills
✅ Planning and organising abilities
✅ Problem-solving skills
✅ Strong customer orientation
Knowledge of retail/FMCG operations, merchandising, promotions and stock management will be advantageous.
