Tiger Brands is offering an exciting Workplace Experience opportunity for a motivated and detail-oriented student who wants to gain practical experience in Quality Assurance, Quality Control and Continuous Improvement.
This opportunity is ideal for students who are currently studying towards a qualification related to Quality Management, Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing, Science or a related field.
🎯 ABOUT THE ROLE
The successful candidate will work closely with the Quality team and gain valuable practical workplace experience. The student will assist with monitoring quality processes, identifying areas for improvement, maintaining accurate documentation and helping ensure that products and processes meet the required quality standards.
📋 KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
The Workplace Experience Student will be responsible for:
- Assisting with routine quality inspections and testing activities.
- Supporting the Quality team with monitoring and documenting quality processes.
- Helping identify, investigate and report quality issues and non-conformances.
- Maintaining accurate quality records, reports and documentation.
- Assisting with data collection and analysis to identify trends and opportunities for improvement.
- Participating in root-cause analysis activities.
- Supporting corrective and preventive action processes.
- Assisting with internal audits and compliance checks when required.
- Helping ensure that procedures and work instructions are followed correctly.
- Contributing to continuous improvement and process optimisation initiatives.
- Performing other quality-related duties assigned by the Quality Manager.
🎓 REQUIREMENTS
To be considered for this opportunity, applicants must:
- Currently be studying towards a Diploma, Degree or relevant qualification.
- Be studying in one of the following fields:
- Quality Management
- Industrial Engineering
- Manufacturing
- Science
- A related field
- Have strong attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy.
- Possess good analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Have good written and verbal communication skills.
- Have basic computer literacy, particularly Microsoft Excel and Word.
- Be able to work independently as well as as part of a team.
- Be willing to learn and take initiative.
- Have a strong interest in quality, process improvement and operational excellence.
