Are you looking for a retail opportunity in Margate? Clicks is looking for a Shop Assistant / Cashier to join its Hibiscus Mall store.
This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working with people, has good communication skills and wants to gain valuable experience in the retail environment.
📌 POSITION SUMMARY
The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering excellent customer service while efficiently handling point-of-sale activities, merchandising and general store duties.
You will play an important role in creating a positive customer experience while supporting Clicks’ vision of being the customer’s first choice health and beauty retailer.
🛒 KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Your duties will include:
• Operating the point-of-sale system efficiently and accurately.
• Scanning merchandise correctly and processing customer payments.
• Handling cash safely and responsibly at all times.
• Processing ClubCard rewards and assisting customers with ClubCard-related queries.
• Promoting the Clicks ClubCard and enrolling new members.
• Informing customers about current promotions and special offers.
• Providing friendly, professional and efficient customer service.
• Acting as a positive brand ambassador for Clicks.
• Maintaining merchandising standards within the store.
• Ensuring shelves and displays are neat, properly stocked and visually appealing.
• Performing general housekeeping duties according to store standards.
• Keeping up to date with Clicks products, ranges, promotions and events.
• Providing customers with accurate information and assistance when required.
• Following all store procedures, instructions and operational standards.
🎓 MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
Education:
✅ Grade 12 / Matric – Essential
⭐ Maths 50% – Desirable
⭐ English 50% – Desirable
Experience:
⭐ Previous experience in a customer-facing role within a retail or FMCG store environment is desirable.
