📌 JOB SUMMARY
The successful candidate will be responsible for operating a forklift to safely load, off-load, move and store stock within the warehouse or yard.
The role requires an individual who can work accurately and efficiently while following all relevant safety standards, operational procedures and company requirements.
The Forklift Driver will play an important role in ensuring that stock is handled correctly and that the warehouse or yard remains organised and safe.
📝 KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
The successful candidate will be responsible for:
- Loading and picking stock safely and efficiently.
- Operating the forklift correctly when moving stock around the warehouse or yard.
- Assisting with the loading and off-loading of goods.
- Completing all required paperwork and documentation when loading and off-loading stock.
- Ensuring that stock is handled carefully to prevent damage or loss.
- Following all applicable health and safety regulations.
- Performing daily forklift and equipment inspections before use.
- Reporting any equipment faults, damage or safety concerns to the relevant supervisor.
- Maintaining good warehouse organisation.
- Ensuring stock is stored correctly and safely.
- Following company procedures and operational instructions at all times.
- Working effectively with colleagues and other departments to ensure smooth warehouse operations.
🎓 MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
Applicants must meet the following requirements:
- Matric / Grade 12.
- Candidate must be literate.
- A valid Forklift Licence is essential.
- At least 2 years’ experience as a Forklift Driver.
- Ability to work safely and responsibly in a warehouse or yard environment.
- Good attention to detail and ability to follow instructions.
