ABOUT THE POSITION
Auto Pedigree, a leading supplier of quality, low-kilometre used vehicles with more than 70 branches countrywide, is inviting applications from honest, trustworthy and highly responsible individuals for the position of Driver/Cleaner at its Midrand branch.
The successful candidate will be responsible for providing an effective transport service in accordance with agreed standard operating procedures and legislative requirements.
The position involves transporting and delivering vehicles, goods, documentation and customers to required destinations safely and efficiently. The successful candidate will also be responsible for maintaining the cleanliness of vehicles and the branch premises.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
Applicants must meet the following requirements:
- Grade 12 / Matric.
- At least 2 years of relevant experience.
- Valid Code 08 unendorsed driver’s licence.
- Own transport.
- Basic computer literacy.
- Must be fully bilingual.
- Good communication skills in English and the ability to communicate effectively with customers.
- Ability to read and understand maps.
- Must be reliable, responsible and safety-conscious.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
The successful candidate will be responsible for:
- Cleaning vehicle interiors and exteriors according to the company’s required standards.
- Ensuring vehicles are neat, clean and presentable before delivery to customers.
- Conducting vehicle quality-control checks.
- Identifying and reporting vehicles with expired licences.
- Reporting any vehicle defects or issues that do not meet the company’s quality standards.
- Delivering vehicles to customers in accordance with established company procedures.
- Ensuring that vehicles are transported safely and responsibly.
- Delivering and collecting documentation from banks, suppliers and clients.
- Transporting required goods and documents to designated destinations.
- Collecting customers, vehicles or documentation when required.
- Maintaining the cleanliness and neatness of the branch premises.
- Safeguarding company vehicles, assets, documentation and customer property.
- Maintaining the integrity of the company by behaving ethically and professionally.
- Following all relevant company policies, procedures and legislative requirements.
- Completing any other reasonable duties assigned by management.
