Job Overview
Premier FMCG is seeking a General Worker: Van Assistant to assist with the loading, transportation and offloading of company products at customer locations.
The primary focus of this position is to ensure that the correct number of products and pallets are loaded onto and offloaded from the delivery vehicle according to the planned delivery route.
The successful candidate will work closely with the delivery team and customers to ensure products are handled correctly throughout the delivery process. The role requires a strong sense of responsibility, attention to detail and the ability to work according to planned departure and delivery schedules.
The Van Assistant will also play an important role in maintaining vehicle safety and hygiene, collecting pallets and reporting accidents or incidents promptly.
Job Purpose
The purpose of the General Worker: Van Assistant position is to support the safe and accurate delivery of products to customers.
The successful candidate must ensure that the correct products and quantities are loaded according to the loading sheet and that products are safely offloaded at customer locations. Accuracy is particularly important because incorrect product quantities or missing pallets can affect customer satisfaction and delivery operations.
Key Responsibilities
1. Check Products Against the Loading Sheet
The Van Assistant will be required to check company products against the relevant loading sheet before departure and sign the documentation as required.
This helps ensure that the correct products and quantities are loaded onto the vehicle before beginning the planned delivery route.
2. Adhere to Departure Times

Punctuality is important to ensure that customers receive their deliveries according to operational requirements.

5. Offloading Products
The Van Assistant will assist with the offloading of products at customer locations.
Products must be handled carefully and the correct quantities must be delivered according to the planned delivery requirements.
6. Accident Reporting
