The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining clean, safe and hygienic facilities while following company and client procedures, health and safety requirements and established Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
Applicants should have:
- Grade 12 / Matric
- At least 1 year of cleaning experience within the cleaning or hygiene industry is advantageous.
- Basic knowledge of general hygiene practices.
- Knowledge of cleaning products and their correct application.
- Understanding of Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
- Ability to operate a variety of cleaning equipment and products.
- Basic literacy and communication skills.
- Basic customer service and service excellence skills.
- Knowledge of facility layouts.
- Understanding of company and client policies and procedures.
- Basic technological skills.
- Willingness to work extended hours, overtime, weekends and public holidays when required.
Preference may be given to candidates who live in the local area where the position is based.
KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
The Cleaner will be responsible for:
- Cleaning toilets, offices, equipment, state property and other designated areas.
- Ensuring effective and responsible use of cleaning materials and equipment.
- Emptying dustbins daily and disposing of refuse correctly.
- Collecting paper waste and placing it in designated recycling bins.
- Checking bathrooms at least twice a day and cleaning them as required.
- Dusting furniture and other designated areas regularly.
- Vacuuming carpets at least twice a week where applicable.
- Cleaning internal windows when required in accordance with the Service Level Agreement (SLA).
- Ensuring all cleaning equipment and products are stored neatly in designated cupboards.
- Maintaining high standards of hygiene and cleanliness throughout the facility.
- Following all company and client cleaning procedures.
- Adhering to Occupational Health and Safety (OHS) requirements and site-specific regulations.
- Using cleaning and hygiene system applications such as I-Clean or E-San where applicable.
- Maintaining positive relationships with clients, colleagues and team members.
- Supporting a high standard of morale and motivation through effective communication.
- Working safely and responsibly at all times.
