Tsebo Facilities Solutions is looking for a hardworking and responsible Roof Cleaner to join its team in Rustenburg, North-West.
The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining the cleanliness, safety and functionality of roofs, gutters, downpipes and roof access areas across the facility.
This role forms part of the facilities and preventative maintenance function. The Roof Cleaner will assist with keeping roof areas free from debris, identifying potential maintenance concerns and reporting defects or safety hazards to the relevant Engineering team.
Because the position involves working at heights, applicants must be physically and medically fit and able to safely use ladders and roof-access equipment. Strict compliance with health and safety procedures is essential.
The ideal candidate should be reliable, safety-conscious and comfortable performing physically demanding outdoor work. Previous experience in roofing, cleaning, maintenance, facilities management or another labour-intensive environment will be advantageous.
🎓 Minimum Requirements
Applicants must meet the following requirements:
- Grade 12 / Matric.
- Must be physically and medically fit to work at heights.
- Ability to safely use ladders and roof-access equipment.
- Ability to follow workplace health and safety procedures.
- Willingness to perform physically demanding cleaning and maintenance-related duties.
- Good housekeeping and asset-care practices.
⭐ Advantageous
The following will be beneficial:
- Working at Heights certification or training.
- Previous experience in roofing, maintenance, facilities management or cleaning.
- Experience working in outdoor or labour-intensive environments.
- Experience within hospitality, resort or commercial facilities.
🧹 Duties and Responsibilities
The successful candidate will be responsible for:
- Cleaning roofs, gutters, downpipes and rainwater management systems.
- Removing leaves, branches, fruit and other organic debris from roof surfaces.
- Cleaning and sanitising roof areas where required.
- Safely removing wildlife contamination when necessary and according to applicable procedures.
- Assisting with routine roof inspections.
- Identifying and reporting maintenance concerns.
- Reporting roof damage, defects, leaks and safety hazards to the Engineering team.
- Supporting roof repairs, waterproofing and preventative maintenance activities.
- Ensuring roof access points remain safe and accessible.
- Using ladders, access equipment and personal protective equipment correctly.
- Following all working-at-height procedures and safety requirements.
- Maintaining good housekeeping standards in all assigned work areas.
- Taking care of company property, equipment and other assets.
- Following Tsebo policies, procedures and workplace safety standards at all times.
