Tsebo Cleaning and Hygiene Solutions is looking for a responsible and professional FTC Driver to join its team in the Inland Region, based in Midrand, Gauteng.
The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring that the delivery of goods and transportation of staff are carried out safely, efficiently and within the required timeframes. The driver will also be expected to comply with Tsebo Hygiene standards as well as all relevant road and traffic regulations.
This opportunity is suitable for an experienced and responsible driver who takes pride in providing excellent service, maintaining vehicles properly and ensuring that all deliveries and staff movements are completed safely.
As part of Tsebo’s operations, the driver will interact with different employees and levels of the organisation. Professionalism, reliability and a positive attitude are therefore important requirements for the position.
🎓 Minimum Qualifications
Applicants must meet the following requirements:
- Minimum Grade 12 or equivalent qualification.
- Valid Code 10 driver’s licence.
- Valid Professional Driving Permit (PrDP).
- Good command of English.
- Excellent customer service skills.
- Must be presentable, neat and professional.
- Ability to work effectively with different levels within the organisation.
- Good understanding of safe driving practices and road regulations.
- Reliable, responsible and able to complete tasks within specified timeframes.
🚚 Duties and Responsibilities
The successful candidate will be responsible for:
- Delivering all goods safely and on time.
- Transporting staff safely between different units and locations when required.
- Ensuring that the assigned vehicle is kept clean, neat and in good working condition.
- Ensuring that the vehicle is serviced regularly according to required maintenance schedules.
- Completing all delivery documentation accurately and ensuring that required paperwork is properly maintained.
- Maintaining a vehicle logbook at all times.
- Conducting appropriate vehicle checks and reporting any defects immediately.
- Reporting accidents or incidents immediately through the required company procedures.
- Ensuring that deliveries and assigned tasks are completed within specified timeframes.
- Complying with all relevant road, traffic and company safety regulations.
- Taking responsibility for the safe handling and movement of goods.
- Providing professional and courteous service when interacting with staff, clients and other stakeholders.
- Working cooperatively with employees at all levels of the company.
- Maintaining a positive attitude and ensuring that interactions with colleagues and customers are professional.
- Assisting with other reasonable duties that may fall outside the normal scope of the position when required.
