Woolworths is offering an exciting Seasonal Sales Assistant opportunity within the Country Road Group (CRG) in Durban, KwaZulu-Natal.
This is a great opportunity for individuals who are passionate about fashion, retail and customer service and enjoy working in a busy, customer-focused environment.
As a Seasonal Sales Assistant, you will play an important role in supporting the store during the busy seasonal trading period. You will be responsible for providing customers with excellent service, assisting them with their purchases and helping the store achieve its sales targets.
You will interact directly with customers on the sales floor, understand their needs, provide product information and assist them in making confident purchasing decisions.
🎓 Minimum Requirements
Applicants should meet the following requirements:
- Grade 12 / National Certificate or equivalent NQF qualification.
- Applicants who are currently completing Grade 12 may also be considered.
- Previous retail sales experience will be advantageous.
- Strong customer service skills and the ability to create a positive shopping experience.
- Knowledge and interest in current fashion trends.
- Ability to provide customers with appropriate fashion advice and product recommendations.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Comfortable using technology, retail systems and other store tools.
- Must be flexible and willing to work different shifts.
- Willingness to work across multiple store locations where required.
- Ability to maintain high standards of personal presentation, hygiene and store presentation.
- Must be able to follow Woolworths and Country Road Group policies and procedures.
🛒 Duties and Responsibilities
As a Seasonal Sales Assistant, your responsibilities will include:
- Delivering exceptional customer service at all times.
- Welcoming customers and assisting them with their shopping needs.
- Understanding customer requirements and providing suitable product recommendations.
- Supporting the store in achieving sales targets through effective selling techniques.
- Identifying opportunities to maximise sales and enhance the customer’s shopping experience.
- Providing accurate product knowledge, including product features, benefits and care instructions.
- Keeping up to date with current fashion trends and using this knowledge when assisting customers.
- Maintaining a visible and approachable presence on the sales floor.
- Ensuring merchandise and store displays are maintained according to Visual Merchandising guidelines.
- Maintaining excellent store presentation and hygiene standards.
- Handling merchandise, equipment and other company resources responsibly to minimise wastage and unnecessary costs.
- Following all Woolworths and Country Road Group policies, procedures and operational standards.
- Supporting colleagues and contributing positively to the overall store environment.
- Demonstrating flexibility by working different shifts and, where required, across multiple store locations.
