🎓 REQUIREMENTS
Applicants must meet the following requirements:
- Grade 12 or equivalent NQF Level 4 qualification.
- Relevant experience in applying job-related concepts, techniques and processes at the required level.
- Experience working with senior management.
- Strong knowledge of plumbing codes, regulations and safety protocols.
- Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
- Ability to work in extreme conditions when required.
- Basic experience with maintenance tools.
- Ability to work independently and under pressure.

🛠️ KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
The successful candidate will be responsible for:
- Following all safety protocols, regulations and workplace procedures.
- Conducting regular inspections to ensure systems and equipment operate efficiently and safely.
- Providing clear documentation of completed work using job management systems.
- Communicating with customers to understand their maintenance needs and provide professional service.
- Servicing and fault-finding on air-conditioning systems.
- Using various hand tools, including hacksaws, pop rivet guns, spirit levels, planes, pump pliers, wrenches and spanners.
- Operating power tools such as electric grinders, drills, jigsaws and jackhammers.
- Performing basic electrical maintenance, including lighting, basic wiring and fault-finding.
- Diagnosing and repairing plumbing faults such as leaks, blockages and drainage problems.
- Using jetting machines and cameras when required to identify and resolve plumbing issues.
- Performing carpentry and general woodwork, including hanging doors, fabricating wooden fixtures and carrying out general repairs.
- Identifying opportunities for innovation and cost-saving improvements.
- Maintaining work areas, facilities and equipment in a safe and functional condition.
- Completing maintenance tasks to the required quality, safety and hygiene standards.
