Job Overview
The Secunda branch is looking for an experienced Code 14 Driver to operate a variety of heavy vehicles and ensure the safe and efficient transportation of materials and equipment.
The successful candidate will be responsible for the vehicle and its load, completing daily vehicle inspections, loading and off-loading materials, and ensuring full compliance with road traffic and occupational health and safety requirements.

Key Responsibilities
The successful candidate will be responsible for:
- Driving a variety of Code 14 vehicles.
- Taking full responsibility for the vehicle and its load.
- Conducting daily vehicle inspections.
- Identifying and reporting vehicle faults.
- Loading and off-loading various materials and equipment.
- Ensuring materials and equipment are handled safely.
- Following the Road Traffic Act and applicable road regulations.
- Maintaining the safety of other road users.

Minimum Qualifications & Experience
Applicants must meet the following requirements:
- Grade 12 / Matric certificate.
- Valid, unendorsed Code 14 driver’s licence.
- Valid Professional Driving Permit (PDP).
- Minimum 5 years’ Code 14 driving experience.
- Experience driving vehicles with manual gearboxes.
- Practical, hands-on approach to work.
- Experience reversing a draw-bar trailer is required.
Advantageous Experience
The following will be an advantage:
- Experience operating a Mounted Grab Crane.
- Additional experience handling and transporting materials and equipment.
