Job Overview
DHL Supply Chain is offering 8 permanent, full-time opportunities for PPT/LLOP Drivers at its Ndlovu Park operation in Pietermaritzburg, KwaZulu-Natal.
The role is focused on the safe and accurate movement of stock within the warehouse using Material Handling Equipment (MHE). Successful candidates will pick stock from designated pickface locations, transport goods to outbound cages or other warehouse locations, and ensure products are handled safely and efficiently.
This position is suited to candidates who already have valid PPT/LLOP certification and relevant operating experience and who can work accurately in a busy warehouse environment.
Main Purpose of the Role
The PPT/LLOP Driver will:
- Pick stock from pickface locations.
- Move stock to outbound cages.
- Operate PPT/LLOP equipment safely.
- Transport stock between designated warehouse locations.
- Ensure picking is accurate and completed within required timeframes.
- Follow all applicable safety procedures and operating instructions.
Key Responsibilities
The successful candidates will be responsible for:
- Contributing to a productive working environment.

- Taking or lifting stock from pickface locations onto pallets.
- Transporting stock from one location to another.
- Following Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and Work Instructions (WIs).
- Completing required administrative tasks.

- Maintaining good housekeeping and hygiene standards.
- Operating company equipment correctly.
- Reporting equipment defects and faults immediately.
- Ensuring pallets are stacked according to required standards.
- Checking pallets for damage.
- Handling customer merchandise carefully to minimise damage.
- Reporting non-conformities relating to merchandise.
- Reporting unsafe acts or behaviour.
- Participating in stock counts.
- Completing assigned tasks accurately and on time.
- Meeting daily Key Performance Indicators (KPIs).
- Working effectively as part of a team.
- Taking on additional duties when required by management.
PPT/LLOP Equipment Operation
A major part of the position involves safely operating Powered Pallet Trucks (PPT) and Low-Level Order Pickers (LLOP).
Drivers must:
- Hold the required PPT/LLOP licence or certificate.
- Have relevant PPT/LLOP operating experience.
- Conduct daily or pre-shift equipment inspections.
- Use MHE correctly and safely.
- Report faults or defects promptly.
- Maintain appropriate hand, eye and foot coordination when operating equipment.
- Follow warehouse safety requirements at all times.
Picking & Stock Handling
Accuracy is essential in this role.
Employees will be expected to accurately pick stock for shipments and move products to the correct locations while ensuring that merchandise is handled with care.
The successful candidate must be able to follow instructions, understand warehouse processes and ensure that product safety, quality and integrity are not compromised.

Minimum Requirements

- Valid LLOP/PPT licence or certificate.
