Job Overview
Clicks Group is looking for 2 Shop Assistants / Cashiers to join the team at Clicks Brooklyn Mall in Pretoria. This role is focused on delivering excellent customer service while efficiently handling point-of-sale activities, merchandising, promotions and general store operations.
The successful candidates will play an important role in creating a positive shopping experience by assisting customers, processing purchases accurately, handling cash responsibly and ensuring that the store remains well presented.
This is a permanent retail opportunity and would suit candidates who enjoy working with people, are comfortable in a fast-paced environment and have strong communication and numeracy skills.
Key Responsibilities
The Shop Assistant / Cashier will be responsible for efficiently handling day-to-day activities at the point of sale while maintaining excellent customer service standards.
Key duties include:
- Operating the point-of-sale system efficiently and accurately.
- Scanning merchandise correctly and processing customer payments.
- Handling cash safely and responsibly.
- Processing ClubCard rewards and assisting customers with ClubCard-related activities.
- Promoting the Clicks ClubCard to customers and enrolling new members.
- Informing customers about current promotions, products and special offers.
- Providing friendly, professional and efficient customer service.
- Acting as a positive brand ambassador for Clicks.
- Being visible and approachable on the shop floor.
- Maintaining accurate POS operations and ensuring transactions are completed correctly.
- Supporting merchandising activities according to store and visual merchandising standards.
- Ensuring shelves and merchandise are presented neatly and appropriately.
- Performing general housekeeping duties within the store.
- Keeping up to date with Clicks products, ranges, promotions and events.
- Providing customers with accurate information about products and promotions.
- Supporting the store team in achieving sales and customer service objectives.
- Following company procedures, instructions and operational standards.
- Contributing towards the Clicks Group vision of being the customer’s first choice health and beauty retailer.
Knowledge Required
