Purpose of the Role
The General Worker will support the manufacturing and production process by assisting with the manufacture, blending, assembly, packing and preparation of products for dispatch.
The role involves working with raw materials and finished products while ensuring that production activities are completed according to product specifications, filling rates and operational requirements.
A strong focus is placed on safety compliance and good housekeeping within the production environment.
Key Responsibilities
The successful candidate will be responsible for:
Manufacturing and Production
- Manufacture TCIA at Element Road according to the required product specifications and filling rates.
- Convert raw materials into finished products in line with established production requirements.
- Convert raw materials into tablets and/or powder blends according to product specifications.
- Blend and assemble TCIA and Floater products.
- Ensure that raw materials are correctly processed into finished products.
- Maintain required production rates while following established procedures.
Packing and Assembly
- Pack TCIA and Floater products into the correct packaging.
- Ensure products are packed according to stated product specifications.
- Assemble product containers correctly.
- Prepare completed products for dispatch.
- Ensure finished products are handled appropriately before being sent for distribution.
Quality and Production Standards
Attention to detail is important in this position. Employees must follow product specifications and production instructions carefully to ensure that finished products meet the required standards.
The successful candidate will also be expected to report any abnormalities relating to equipment or products to the appropriate Line Leader.
This includes reporting:
- Equipment abnormalities.
- Product abnormalities.
- Product losses.
- Unexpected gains.
- Any other production-related concerns that may affect quality or output.
Safety Responsibilities
Safety is a key part of the role. The General Worker will be expected to comply with all applicable workplace safety requirements and maintain safe working practices throughout the production process.
Responsibilities include:
- Following all site safety procedures.
- Complying with safety requirements when handling materials and equipment.
- Maintaining a safe working environment.
- Reporting unsafe conditions or abnormalities where necessary.
- Following instructions provided by supervisors and Line Leaders.
- Supporting a strong safety culture within the production facility.
Housekeeping
Good housekeeping is also an important requirement of the position.
The successful candidate will be expected to maintain clean and organised work areas and ensure that the production facility remains in an acceptable condition.
This includes maintaining good housekeeping and safety standards throughout the facility and ensuring that work areas are kept orderly during and after production activities.
Additional Responsibilities
As a General Worker, the successful candidate may also be required to perform other duties of a general nature as allocated by Management.
This means flexibility and a willingness to assist with different operational requirements will be important.
Candidates should be prepared to work as part of a production team and follow reasonable instructions from supervisors and management.
