📌 JOB PURPOSE
Clicks Group is looking for Shop Assistants / Cashiers to join the team at Clicks Fairlands Walk.
The successful candidates will be responsible for delivering excellent customer service, operating the point-of-sale system efficiently, assisting customers, merchandising products and maintaining a clean and organised store environment.
💼 KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Efficiently execute all operational activities at the point of sale.
- Accurately scan merchandise and process customer payments.
- Action and process ClubCard rewards correctly.
- Handle cash safely and responsibly at all times.
- Promote the Clicks ClubCard to customers and assist with enrolling new members.
- Inform customers about current promotions, specials and offers.
- Deliver friendly, professional and efficient customer service.
- Act as a positive Clicks brand ambassador.
- Maintain a visible and approachable presence on the shop floor.
- Assist customers with product-related queries and provide accurate information.
- Complete merchandising duties according to store and visual merchandising standards.
- Maintain good housekeeping and ensure the store remains clean and presentable.
- Keep up to date with products, product ranges, promotions and upcoming events.
- Follow all company procedures, policies and instructions.
- Support the Clicks Group vision of becoming the customer’s first-choice health and beauty retailer.
🎓 MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
Education
- Grade 12 / Matric – Essential
- Mathematics – 50% at Grade 12 level – Desirable
- English – 50% at Grade 12 level – Desirable
Experience
- Previous experience in a customer-facing position is desirable.
- Experience within a retail or FMCG store operations environment will be an advantage.

- Basic mathematical calculations.
- Understanding of retail and FMCG operations.
- Basic knowledge of merchandising principles.
- Understanding of promotions and promotional activities.
- Knowledge of stock management procedures.
- Understanding of excellent customer service.
