💼 Key Performance Areas

The successful candidate will be responsible for:

  • Managing the day-to-day finances of the school under the direction of the Executive Head and Regional Accountant.
  • Managing and monitoring school budgets.
  • Monitoring all income and expenditure relating to internal budgets.
  • Preparing accurate financial reports for the Executive Head.
  • Assisting with school functions when required.
  • Ensuring that financial administration is completed accurately and efficiently.
  • Supporting sound financial controls and responsible management of school resources.

🎓 Qualifications & Experience

Applicants should have:

  • At least a B degree or equivalent three-year qualification.
  • A qualification with a major in Accounting would be advantageous.
  • At least 5 years’ relevant experience.
  • Experience working in a financial role or as a Bursar.
  • Experience in:
    • Accounting
    • Cash-flow management
    • Debtors’ management
    • Contract management, particularly the financial aspects
    • Administration
    • Payroll management
  • Excellent computer skills.
  • Strong planning, organisational and administrative skills.
  • A clear criminal record.

The ideal candidate should be:

  • Financially knowledgeable and detail-oriented.
  • Highly organised and able to manage multiple responsibilities.
  • Comfortable working with budgets, financial reports and cash flow.
  • Able to manage debtors and financial administration effectively.
  • Proficient in computer applications.
  • Able to communicate professionally with management, staff, parents and other stakeholders.
  • Reliable, trustworthy and able to maintain confidentiality.
