🏭 ABOUT THE ROLE
As a Reliever, you will provide support across the beverage packaging operation by temporarily filling in for employees who are unavailable.
You will help maintain continuity of production during different shifts and ensure that packaging activities are completed according to company procedures.
The role involves working with packaging machinery and materials, monitoring production processes and ensuring that products meet the required quality standards.
Because this is a production environment, the successful candidate must be comfortable working at a fast pace, standing for extended periods and performing repetitive tasks.
You may also be required to work across different packaging lines depending on operational requirements.
🔧 KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
The successful candidate will be responsible for:
- Operating and monitoring beverage packaging machinery.
- Assisting with bottling, labelling, sealing and palletising processes.
- Ensuring packaging materials such as bottles, cans, labels and cartons are available.
- Loading packaging materials correctly when required.
- Maintaining cleanliness and organisation within the packaging area.
- Following required hygiene standards.
- Conducting routine checks to ensure packaging quality meets company specifications.
- Identifying and reporting equipment malfunctions to supervisors.
- Reporting safety hazards promptly.
- Following Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
- Complying with health, safety and food safety requirements.
- Assisting with inventory control of packaging materials when required.
- Providing support across different packaging lines.
- Working with team members to achieve daily production targets.
🎓 QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS
Applicants should have:
- High school diploma or equivalent qualification.
- Previous manufacturing or packaging experience will be advantageous, but is not mandatory.
- Ability to operate basic machinery.
- Ability to understand and follow technical instructions.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Commitment to maintaining quality standards.
- Flexibility to work across different shifts and packaging lines.
- Good communication skills.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
- Physical fitness to perform repetitive tasks.
- Ability to handle moderate lifting.
