🎓 WHO CAN APPLY?
The opportunity is aimed at unemployed learners between the ages of 18 and 23.
Applicants must:
- Be unemployed.
- Be between 18 and 23 years old.
- Have Grade 12 / Matric or a Statement of Results.
- Have never been employed in the field of the advertised post.
- Not have previously participated in a learnership programme in the relevant field.
- Disclose any previous learnership participation.
- Be willing to undergo security vetting and verification checks.

📚 WORKPLACE EXPOSURE
Successful learners may receive exposure to various claims and legal-related activities, including:
- Assessment of claims.
- Preparing memorandums and summaries.
- Checking correspondence.
- Assisting with claims investigations involving civil or other damages claims.
- Exposure to drafting pleadings, applications and court processes.
- Assessing damages in civil matters.
- Reviewing injuries and medico-legal reports.
- Reviewing employment records and other documents used to quantify claims.
- Taking instructions from supervisors and preparing files.
- Communicating with stakeholders such as attorneys, counsel, experts, investigators and state attorneys.
- Consulting with attorneys.
- Preparing memorandums providing advice or guidance on the management of claims and legal processes.
- Working as part of a team and meeting deadlines.
- Understanding the importance of timeframes in relation to court rules.
- Assisting with the administration of court processes such as summons and writs.
- Performing various administrative and ad hoc tasks.
- Assisting with negotiations relating to attorneys’ bills of costs.
- Implementing relevant directives and policies.
- Preparing reconciliations for attorneys.
- Developing an understanding of legal costs within the RAF.
📄 DOCUMENTS REQUIRED

🚨 IMPORTANT INFORMATION

Applicants with foreign qualifications are responsible for having their qualifications evaluated by SAQA and providing proof of the evaluation.
