🎓 MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

📦 ABOUT THE ROLE
The Checker I is responsible for checking goods and containers during different stages of the warehouse and distribution process.
The role may involve checking:
- Assembling of goods.
- Packing and unpacking.
- Weighing.
- Stacking.
- Loading and unloading.
- Marking and addressing of goods or containers.
- Recording details of goods manually or electronically.
- Accuracy, quality and condition of products and inventory.
The position plays an important role in ensuring that warehouse operations remain accurate, organised and compliant.
🚛 DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
The successful candidate will be responsible for:
- Stock control.
- Dispatch activities.
- Record keeping and administration.
- System administration.
- Carrying out reasonable instructions from the Supervisor.
- Conducting pre-loading inspections of vehicles.
- Checking vehicles for cleanliness before loading.
- Ensuring slides are closed before loading.
- Loading and sealing loads.
- Weighing vehicle axles to ensure legal compliance.
- Completing bin stock documentation.
- Performing general housekeeping duties.
- Cleaning the weighbridge daily.
- Maintaining a clean loading area.
- Keeping the loading facility neat and organised.
🔍 WHAT KIND OF PERSON IS NEEDED?
This position requires someone who is careful, reliable and detail-oriented.
Because the role involves checking stock, recording information and ensuring vehicles comply with loading requirements, accuracy is very important.
The successful candidate should also be comfortable working in a warehouse environment and following established procedures.
Experience in stock control, dispatch, warehousing, inventory, administration or quality checking can be beneficial.
