🌟 ABOUT THE PROGRAMME
The Clicks Group Youth Employment Programme is designed to help unemployed young people enter the workplace and gain practical experience in the retail industry.
Participants will have the opportunity to learn how a retail store operates while developing important workplace, customer service and retail skills.
The programme combines classroom-based learning with practical on-the-job training at a Clicks retail store.
This means successful candidates will not only receive theoretical training but will also gain real workplace experience that can help them build their CV and prepare for future employment opportunities.
🎓 WHAT WILL YOU LEARN?
The programme focuses on developing participants for work in the retail environment, particularly in checkout operations.
Successful participants will receive an NQF 2 Checkout Operator Occupational Qualification after completing the programme.
The training can help young people develop valuable skills such as:
- Customer service and communication.
- Operating in a retail store environment.
- Working effectively as part of a team.
- Understanding workplace procedures.
- Developing professional workplace behaviour.
- Learning checkout and retail-related duties.
- Building confidence in dealing with customers.
- Gaining practical workplace experience.
✅ MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
Applicants must meet the following requirements:
- Must be a South African citizen.
- Must be between 18 and 29 years old.
- Must have passed Matric.
- Must currently be unemployed.
- Must have strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Must be able to work well in a team environment.
- Must be willing to learn and develop new skills.
- Must not currently be registered on another Learnership or Skills Programme.
