🔧 TRANSNET WIL TECHNICAL OPPORTUNITY
Transnet is inviting applications for its Work Integrated Learning (WIL) Technical Learner Programme, offering students and recent graduates an opportunity to gain practical workplace experience.
The programme is designed to help participants apply their academic knowledge in a real working environment while developing valuable technical and professional skills through hands-on training, mentorship and exposure to industry-specific tasks.
The programme will run for 12 months and is available in Durban, East London, Port Elizabeth and Ngqura.
🎓 WHO CAN APPLY?
Applicants must meet the following requirements:
- Have a Matric certificate.
- Hold a B Eng Tech or National Diploma.
- Have completed the required theoretical coursework at S4–S5 level.
- Qualification must be in one of the following disciplines:
- Electrical Engineering – Heavy Current
- Mechanical Engineering
- Industrial Engineering
- Must be a South African citizen.
- Must be between 18 and 35 years old.
This opportunity is particularly suitable for engineering students or graduates who need practical workplace exposure and want to develop their careers within the transport and engineering environment.

Successful learners will receive practical exposure and may be required to:
