✈️ WAREHOUSE ASSISTANT OPPORTUNITY
FlySafair, through Safair Operations, is looking for 4 Warehouse Assistants to join its Logistics Department at its Head Office in Johannesburg.
The successful candidates will report to the Warehouse Manager and will assist with the movement, storage, packaging and control of inventory within the warehouse.
This is a permanent position and could be a great opportunity for candidates with Grade 12 and relevant administration experience who are interested in building a career in warehouse operations, logistics and the aviation industry.
📦 KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
The successful candidates will be responsible for:
- Moving inventory and materials across facilities.
- Processing inventory for delivery.
- Sorting, organising and storing stock in the correct locations.
- Packaging and correctly labelling items.
- Reporting damaged or missing inventory to supervisors.
- Stacking and organising large bulk items.
- Updating inventory logs and documentation.
- Conducting routine warehouse cleaning tasks.
- Monitoring and managing inventory control.
- Maintaining high warehouse quality standards for audits.
- Handling delicate and sensitive products with care.
- Operating warehouse tools and accessories according to company SOPs.
- Following quality service standards, procedures, rules and regulations.
- Performing daily cycle counts.
- Working with the Inventory Clerk to investigate and resolve inventory discrepancies.
🎓 REQUIREMENTS
Applicants must have:
- Grade 12 or equivalent – Essential.
- 1–2 years’ administration experience in a mid-size organisation – Essential.
- Knowledge of warehousing standards.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to multitask.
- Willingness to work overtime when required.
- Willingness to work 24-hour shifts – Essential.
Advantageous Qualifications
The following will be an added advantage:
- Warehouse Training certification.
- Dangerous Goods certification.
- Aircraft spares packing certification.
- Knowledge of an ERP system.
