🎓 MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
Applicants must meet the following requirements:
- Have a minimum Grade 10 qualification or equivalent.
- Be able to work under pressure.
- Have good interpersonal skills.
- Have good planning and organisational abilities.
- Be able to work independently and as part of a team.
- Have sound verbal and written communication skills.
- Demonstrate honesty, integrity, reliability and self-motivation.
- Be able to handle tasks of a multidisciplinary nature.
- Be physically able to handle heavy objects when required.
- Have knowledge of warehouse operations.
- Knowledge of Batho Pele Principles will be beneficial.
- Have good work ethics.
- Current and previous EPWP interns are encouraged to apply.
📦 MAIN DUTIES
Successful candidates will be responsible for assisting with various warehouse and asset-related activities, including:
- Receiving stock and assets delivered by suppliers.
- Packing stock and assets correctly.
- Pulling stock from shelves and placing it onto pallets.
- Dispatching stock and assets to different points within the hospital.
- Keeping shelves and storage areas clean, organised and neat.
- Reporting damaged, neglected or problematic stock and assets.
- Working overtime when required.
- Following lawful and reasonable instructions from supervisors and line managers.
- Complying with Occupational Health and Safety Act requirements within the warehouse.
- Rotating between the Warehouse and Assets components according to the roster.
- Attending training sessions, meetings and development activities.
- Participating in activities related to the Performance Management and Development System.
