🎓 MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
Applicants must:
- Have Grade 10 or equivalent.
- Have basic knowledge of horticulture and equipment used.
- Have knowledge of gardening and the use of garden tools and equipment.
- Be reliable, punctual and honest.
- Be willing and able to perform strenuous physical duties.
- Have the ability to work with gardening and maintenance equipment.
🛠️ DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Successful candidates will be responsible for:
- Digging and removing weeds from gardens.
- Removing grass heaps and other garden waste.
- Mowing lawns using lawnmowers.
- Trimming grass using trimming machines.
- Cleaning premises by removing litter.
- Emptying refuse containers.
- Raking grass clippings to maintain a clean and tidy environment.
- Assisting with cleaning gutters when required.
- Sweeping and cleaning main roads, pavements and walkways.
- Cutting dead trees and removing dead branches when required.
- Checking machinery and equipment and reporting faults or servicing requirements.
- Following lawful instructions issued by supervisors.
- Maintaining a clean, safe and well-kept environment.
