📌 ABOUT THE POSITION
Clicks Group is looking for 2 Shop Assistants / Cashiers to join the team at Clicks Alex Mall.
The successful candidates will be responsible for delivering excellent customer service, carrying out point-of-sale activities efficiently, assisting customers and ensuring that merchandising and housekeeping standards are maintained.
This opportunity is suitable for individuals who enjoy working with people, have good communication and numeracy skills, and are interested in building a career in the retail and FMCG industry.
🛒 KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
The successful candidates will be responsible for:
- Efficiently performing all operational activities at the point of sale.
- Scanning merchandise accurately.
- Processing customer payments correctly.
- Handling cash safely and responsibly.
- Processing Clicks ClubCard rewards.
- Promoting the Clicks ClubCard programme to customers.
- Assisting with the enrolment of new ClubCard members.
- Informing customers about current promotions and special offers.
- Providing friendly, professional and efficient customer service.
- Acting as a positive ambassador for the Clicks brand.
- Ensuring customers receive a positive shopping experience.
- Performing merchandising duties according to store standards.
- Maintaining product displays and ensuring merchandise is properly presented.
- Completing general housekeeping duties.
- Keeping the store and work areas clean and organised.
- Developing and maintaining knowledge of products and product ranges.
- Staying informed about promotions and store events.
- Providing customers with accurate product information.
- Following company procedures and instructions.
- Supporting the overall objectives and values of Clicks Group.
🎓 MINIMUM EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS
Applicants must have:
- Grade 12 / Matric – Essential.
The following would be advantageous:
- Mathematics at 50% or higher at Grade 12 level.
- English at 50% or higher at Grade 12 level.
💼 EXPERIENCE
Previous experience is not necessarily essential.
However, experience in a customer-facing position within a retail or FMCG store environment would be advantageous.
Candidates with an understanding of retail operations, merchandising and customer service will be well suited to this opportunity.

Candidates should have knowledge or understanding of:
