Europcar is looking for a reliable, responsible and customer-focused Driver to join its Port Elizabeth Downtown team. The successful candidate should have a clean driving record, good knowledge of South African road rules and regulations, and the ability to provide professional service to customers.
🔑 KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
The successful candidate will be responsible for:
- Cleaning vehicle interiors and exteriors according to company standards.
- Conducting vehicle quality checks.
- Identifying and reporting expired vehicle licences and other issues affecting vehicle quality.
- Refuelling vehicles after rentals.
- Checking tyre pressure, oil, water and other vehicle fluids.
- Delivering vehicles to customers according to company procedures.
- Handling vehicle check-ins in line with company, quality control and claims procedures.
- Keeping the vehicle yard and surrounding areas clean and organised.
- Safeguarding company vehicles and other assets.
- Acting ethically and professionally when dealing with customers and colleagues.
- Carrying out any other reasonable duties assigned by management.
🎓 MINIMUM QUALIFICATION
- Matric / Grade 12 or equivalent NQF Level 4 qualification.
🚘 EXPERIENCE REQUIRED
- At least 2 years of relevant driving experience.
📋 MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
Applicants must have:
- A valid, unendorsed Code 8 driver’s licence.
- A driver’s licence that has been held for at least 2 years.
- Basic computer literacy.
- Good knowledge of South African driving rules and regulations.
- The ability to read and understand a map.
- Good communication skills.
- The ability to communicate effectively with customers in English.
- The ability to work professionally and responsibly.
- A clean and responsible driving record.
⏰ WORKING HOURS
The appointed candidate may be required to work:
- Weekends
- Shifts
- Overtime
This will be dependent on operational requirements.
