📌 ABOUT THE OPPORTUNITY
Tsebo Cleaning and Hygiene Solutions is looking for Temporary Cleaners to join its team in the Upington area, Northern Cape.
The successful candidates will be responsible for ensuring that all housekeeping and cleaning duties are completed efficiently, correctly and on time.
This is a shift-based position, so applicants must be flexible and willing to work different shifts, including weekends, public holidays and overtime when required.
The role is suitable for someone who is hardworking, reliable and committed to maintaining a high standard of cleanliness and hygiene.
🧹 KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
The successful candidate will be responsible for:
- Cleaning toilets, offices, equipment, state property and other assets.
- Ensuring cleaning materials and equipment are used effectively.
- Cleaning reception areas and offices daily.
- Emptying office dustbins every day.
- Disposing of refuse correctly in designated refuse bins.
- Collecting paper waste and placing it in designated recycling bins.
- Checking bathrooms at least twice a day.
- Cleaning bathrooms whenever required.
- Dusting office furniture regularly.
- Vacuuming carpets at least twice a week.
- Cleaning internal windows on a rotational basis.
- Storing cleaning equipment and products neatly in designated cupboards.
- Assisting with the preparation of boardrooms for meetings.
- Ensuring cleaning equipment is properly maintained and stored.
- Following all Occupational Health and Safety requirements.
- Complying with company policies, quality programmes and relevant legislation.
- Maintaining a high standard of cleanliness throughout the facility.
- Communicating professionally with colleagues and supervisors.
- Maintaining good morale through positive communication and teamwork.
- Performing additional duties that may reasonably fall within the scope of the position.
🧼 CLEANING & HYGIENE STANDARDS
The successful candidate must understand the importance of maintaining a clean and safe workplace.
You will be expected to use cleaning products and equipment correctly and follow appropriate hygiene procedures.
Attention to detail is important because the cleaner will be responsible for areas such as offices, bathrooms, reception areas, carpets, windows and other facility spaces.
🎓 MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
Applicants must have:
- Grade 11 as a minimum, together with proven relevant experience.
Advantageous:
- Grade 12 / Matric Certificate.
Previous cleaning or housekeeping experience would be beneficial, particularly for applicants who have worked in commercial or office environments.
