The Capital Hotels & Apartments is looking for a professional and customer-focused Food & Beverage Waiter to join its hospitality team in Umhlanga, KwaZulu-Natal. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing exceptional food and beverage service to guests in the restaurant, room service, and function areas while ensuring every guest enjoys a memorable dining experience.
This role requires an individual with previous restaurant experience who is passionate about hospitality, works well under pressure, and delivers excellent customer service. The successful candidate will also assist with stock-related duties, maintain high service standards, and represent the hotel’s commitment to professionalism and guest satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities
The successful candidate will be responsible for:
- Serving food and beverages to guests in a friendly and professional manner.
- Providing efficient service in the restaurant, room service, and function areas.
- Delivering exceptional customer service at all times.
- Taking food and beverage orders accurately.
- Ensuring guests receive their meals and drinks promptly.
- Assisting with front-of-house operations.
- Supporting stock control and stock handling activities.
- Maintaining cleanliness and presentation of service areas.
- Addressing guest requests and resolving basic concerns professionally.
- Working closely with the kitchen and other hotel departments to ensure excellent guest experiences.
Minimum Requirements
Applicants must have:
- Grade 12 (Matric).
- Previous restaurant experience (essential).
- Ability to solve problems calmly under pressure.
- Ability to work independently and within a team.
- Excellent communication skills.

Important: Candidates who live outside the city where the hotel is located will be responsible for their own relocation costs if appointed.
