About the Opportunity
Motus Toyota Johannesburg City is looking for a Light Duty Driver to join its team on a three-month contract. This opportunity is ideal for individuals with a valid driver’s licence and PDP who enjoy working in the automotive industry and providing excellent customer service.
The successful candidate will be responsible for transporting vehicle parts safely and efficiently while ensuring company vehicles remain in good condition and roadworthy.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver vehicle parts to customers, suppliers, and other company branches.
- Collect parts from suppliers, customers, and other Motus branches.
- Ensure all deliveries are completed safely and on time.
- Inspect delivery vehicles before and after trips.
- Check vehicles for defects, damages, and roadworthiness.
- Report any accidents, damages, or traffic offences immediately.
- Ensure vehicles are always locked when unattended.
- Keep vehicle keys in the designated safe key box or reception.
- Protect vehicle parts from damage during transportation.
- Assist customers during deliveries when required.
- Report missing tools, spare wheels, or vehicle equipment.
- Perform additional duties as assigned by management.
- Work overtime when operational requirements demand.
Minimum Requirements
Applicants must have:
- Grade 12 (Matric).
- A valid South African driver’s licence.
- A valid Professional Driving Permit (PDP).
- A clear criminal record.
- Good verbal communication skills.
- Excellent customer service skills.
- Ability to work well within a team.
- Good organisational and time management skills.
