Minimum Requirements
Applicants must meet the following requirements:
- Grade 12 (Matric).
- South African citizen.
- Ability to communicate effectively in English.
- Willingness to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
- Clear criminal and credit record (MIE verification).
- Driver’s licence and own reliable transport will be an advantage.
Key Responsibilities
The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the office environment remains clean, safe, and hygienic by performing the following duties:
- Maintain a high standard of cleanliness throughout the office and communal areas.
- Follow daily cleaning routines to ensure all workspaces remain neat.
- Clean and restock kitchens, canteens, and restrooms with necessary supplies.
- Respond immediately to cleaning requirements during operational hours.
- Check refuse before disposal to ensure no valuable items are discarded.
- Vacuum meeting rooms and training rooms daily.
- Vacuum other carpeted office areas weekly according to company procedures.
- Dust office furniture, desks, chairs, telephones, shelves, photocopiers, and meeting rooms.
- Follow all health and safety regulations while performing cleaning duties.
- Store cleaning equipment safely after use.
- Display wet floor warning signs whenever floors are being cleaned.
- Assist visitors by directing them to the correct offices or departments.
- Communicate professionally with employees and guests.
- Report damaged equipment or maintenance issues such as faulty lights, taps, locks, doors, switches, and other office facilities.
- Notify the Team Leader when cleaning supplies or restroom products are running low.
