Job Overview

Minimum Requirements

- Grade 10–12 (Grade 12 preferred)
- Basic cleaning or safety training will be an advantage
- 1–2 years of cleaning experience in industrial, agricultural, warehouse, or logistics environments
- Experience working around heavy machinery or high-traffic operational areas is beneficial
- Knowledge of cleaning chemicals and safe waste-handling procedures
- Understanding of housekeeping standards and workplace safety practices

Key Responsibilities
Cleaning and Housekeeping
- Clean workshops, loading areas, offices, ablution facilities, and operational workspaces
- Remove dust, mud, oil spills, leaves, and other debris
- Keep walkways, platforms, and machinery access areas clean
- Maintain cleanliness around fuel stations, wash bays, parking areas, and storage yards
Waste Management
- Collect and dispose of waste according to company procedures
- Empty bins and replace bin liners
- Transport waste to designated disposal areas
- Assist with recycling and proper disposal of contaminated materials
Health and Safety
- Follow all company safety rules and PPE requirements
- Identify and report hazards immediately
- Place warning signs in cleaning areas when necessary
- Handle cleaning chemicals safely and correctly
Communication
- Work closely with supervisors and operational staff
- Report shortages of cleaning supplies
- Participate in daily safety meetings and operational briefings
Equipment Maintenance
- Use cleaning equipment correctly
- Keep cleaning tools in good condition
- Report damaged equipment immediately
- Maintain organised cleaning storage areas
Reporting
- Complete housekeeping checklists
- Report incidents, hazards, and spills
- Support compliance inspections and safety audits
Working Conditions
The position involves working both indoors and outdoors in warehouse and operational environments.
Employees should be prepared for:
- Exposure to dust, mud, noise, and changing weather conditions
- Working near trucks, tractors, loaders, and other heavy equipment
- Standing, bending, lifting, and walking for long periods
- Wearing personal protective equipment (PPE) at all times
