Minimum Requirements
Applicants must have:
- Grade 10 or an equivalent qualification.
- Basic Security Course (Grade C).
- A valid and renewed PSIRA Grade C certificate.
- At least one year of appropriate security industry experience.
- No criminal record or pending criminal cases.
- Good interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Willingness to work shifts, weekends, public holidays, and night shifts.
- Ability to work with different categories of patients, including mental health patients.
Previous experience within the Public Service will be an added advantage.

Key Responsibilities
Successful candidates will be responsible for:
- Monitoring CCTV systems and ensuring the control room is never left unattended.
- Providing access control to hospital premises.
- Conducting regular patrols of hospital wards and high-risk areas.
- Safeguarding patients, staff, visitors, and hospital assets.
- Assisting with restraining violent patients where necessary.
- Tracing missing patients in accordance with departmental procedures.
- Preventing unauthorised persons and dangerous objects from entering the hospital.
- Reporting security incidents and breaches to supervisors.
- Escorting patients, visitors, staff, and contractors.
- Updating security registers and incident reports.
- Assisting during emergencies.
- Clamping illegally parked vehicles according to hospital policy.
- Ensuring hospital doors are secured.
- Reporting water leaks, damaged electrical cables, and other hazards.
- Ensuring government vehicles leave the premises only with proper authorisation.
- Assisting with the safe handling and storage of firearms brought into the hospital.
