Key Responsibilities
As a 3500kg Driver, your duties will include:
- Deliver building materials and other products safely and efficiently to customers.
- Ensure all goods are loaded securely and neatly before leaving the branch.
- Prevent damages, losses, and breakages during transportation.
- Supervise and assist with loading and unloading of deliveries.
- Conduct daily vehicle inspection checks before and after every trip.
- Report any mechanical faults, defects, or maintenance issues immediately.
- Maintain the cleanliness and roadworthiness of the assigned vehicle.
- Ensure customers receive the correct products and quantities as indicated on delivery documentation.
- Complete delivery schedules within agreed timeframes.
- Obtain customer signatures and authorisations on delivery notes.
- Collect Cash-on-Delivery (COD) payments where required and follow company cash-handling procedures.
- Provide professional and friendly customer service during every delivery.
- Promote and uphold The Building Company’s values, culture, and professional standards.
- Help minimise unnecessary vehicle operating costs through responsible driving and vehicle care.
- Follow all company safety policies, road traffic regulations, and operational procedures.
Minimum Requirements
Applicants should have:
- A valid licence suitable for operating a 3500kg delivery vehicle.
- Good knowledge of road safety regulations.
- Previous delivery driving experience will be advantageous.

Working Environment
