Job Overview
g-FleeT is recruiting a Driver/Messenger to join its VIP and Pool Fleet Directorate in Bedfordview. Key Responsibilities
The Driver/Messenger will perform a wide range of transport and support duties, including:
- Safely transport clients using chauffeur or shuttle services.
- Plan the quickest and safest travel routes to destinations.
- Communicate route changes or delays where necessary.
- Follow all road safety regulations and defensive driving practices.
- Ensure passengers travel comfortably by maintaining suitable vehicle conditions.
- Deliver documents, mail, vehicles, and other official items to stakeholders.
- Maintain accurate delivery records and trip documentation.
- Assist passengers with luggage when required.
- Provide estimated arrival times and respond politely to client enquiries.
- Promote a professional image of g-FleeT through excellent customer service.
- Complete and maintain vehicle logbooks accurately.
- Complete requisition forms, accident reports, and damage documentation when required.
- Inspect vehicles before and after trips.
- Ensure vehicles remain clean, fuelled, roadworthy, and properly maintained.
- Report mechanical faults or safety concerns immediately.
- Monitor vehicle licence disc renewals and scheduled servicing.
Minimum Requirements
Applicants must have:
- Grade 12 (Matric).
- Valid Code C1 Driver’s Licence.
- Valid Professional Driving Permit (PrDP).
- No previous work experience required.
