Key Responsibilities
As a Cashier at Pedros, your responsibilities will include:
- Process customer orders quickly and accurately.
- Receive and process cash, card, and digital payments.
- Operate the Point of Sale (POS) system efficiently.
- Troubleshoot basic POS system issues when necessary.
- Issue receipts for all customer purchases.
- Process refunds and exchanges according to company procedures.
- Promote current specials and recommend additional menu items to customers.
- Assist with upselling products where appropriate.
- Manage customer queues efficiently to reduce waiting times.
- Respond professionally to customer questions and resolve basic complaints.
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the cashier station and front counter.
- Balance cash at the end of each shift.
- Complete end-of-shift cash reconciliation and reports.
- Protect company assets by following cash-handling procedures.
- Help prevent stock and cash losses through compliance with company policies.
Minimum Requirements
Applicants should have:
- Previous cashier or retail experience (preferred).
- Strong numerical and cash-handling skills.
- Grade 12 (Matric) is advantageous.
