Key Responsibilities
As a Reservations Sales Agent, your responsibilities will include:
- Process reservation requests, booking changes, and cancellations received by phone, email, fax, or mail.
- Verify room availability, rates, and occupancy before confirming reservations.
- Assist guests in selecting the most suitable room types based on their needs.
- Explain room rates, promotions, guarantee policies, and cancellation policies clearly.
- Record and process special guest requests accurately.
- Assign confirmation and cancellation numbers to guests.
- Capture reservation information accurately within the reservation system.
- Answer guest questions about hotel facilities, services, restaurants, promotions, and nearby attractions.
- Use effective sales techniques to maximise bookings and hotel revenue.
- Suggest alternative dates or sister properties when rooms are unavailable.
- Identify repeat guests and ensure loyalty programme information is updated where applicable.
- Escalate guest complaints and concerns through the correct procedures.
- Maintain confidentiality of guest information and company data.
- Follow Marriott International policies, procedures, and quality standards.
- Work closely with other hotel departments to ensure seamless guest experiences.
Minimum Requirements
Applicants should have:
- Grade 12 (Matric) or equivalent qualification.
- No previous work experience required.
