Job Overview
Clicks is recruiting four permanent Shop Assistant / Cashier positions for its Tembisa Mall store. This opportunity is ideal for individuals with a passion for retail and customer service who enjoy working with people in a fast-paced environment.
The successful candidates will be responsible for providing excellent customer service, operating the point of sale (POS), handling cash accurately, merchandising products, maintaining store standards, and promoting the Clicks ClubCard programme. You will play an important role in creating a positive shopping experience while helping customers find the products they need.
Although previous retail experience is advantageous, candidates who have Grade 12 and strong customer service skills are encouraged to apply.
Key Responsibilities
- Operate the point of sale (POS) efficiently and accurately.
- Scan merchandise and process customer payments.
- Handle cash safely and follow cash control procedures.
- Promote the Clicks ClubCard and register new members.
- Inform customers about promotions, specials, and rewards.
- Deliver friendly, professional, and efficient customer service.
- Merchandise products according to company standards.
- Maintain store cleanliness and housekeeping standards.
- Keep up to date with products, promotions, and store events.
- Support the company’s customer service and retail objectives.
Minimum Requirements
- Grade 12 (Matric) – Essential.
- Mathematics (50%) and English (50%) at Grade 12 level – Advantageous.
- Previous retail or customer service experience – Advantageous.
