Job Overview
Clover is recruiting a General Worker (A2) to join its Powder Factory in Queensburgh, KwaZulu-Natal. This permanent position is ideal for hardworking individuals who enjoy working in a production and manufacturing environment.
The successful candidate will support daily production operations by carrying out a variety of general duties, including handling products, shrink-wrapping, sorting damaged products, loading, cleaning work areas, and assisting the production team with other operational tasks. The role is essential in ensuring production runs efficiently while maintaining high standards of quality, cleanliness, and workplace safety.
Employees will be expected to work according to Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), comply with health and safety regulations, and maintain excellent housekeeping standards throughout the production facility. This position requires someone who is reliable, physically fit, able to work in demanding conditions, and committed to working as part of a team.
The role may require shift work, weekend work, and public holiday work depending on operational requirements. Previous experience in a powder production environment will be an advantage but is not essential.
Key Responsibilities
The successful candidate will be responsible for:
- Performing general production and factory duties.
- Handling products safely and efficiently.
- Shrink-wrapping products.
- Sorting damaged products.
- Loading and moving products when required.
- Assisting with production operations.
- Maintaining housekeeping and cleanliness standards.
- Following Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
- Complying with all health and safety regulations.
- Completing additional duties assigned by management.
Minimum Requirements
Applicants should have:
- Grade 12 (Matric) or NQF Level 4 qualification.
- Good command of Business English.
- Ability to work in physically demanding and extreme conditions.
- Willingness to work shifts, weekends, and public holidays.
- Ability to pass the required readiness assessments.
- Previous experience in a powder production department (advantageous).
