Key Responsibilities
The successful candidate will be responsible for:
- Greeting customers in a friendly and professional manner.
- Processing purchases accurately using the point-of-sale (POS) system.
- Handling different payment methods according to company procedures.
- Promoting Woolworths loyalty programmes, airtime sales, and utility payment services.
- Maintaining a neat, clean, and organised till point.
- Ensuring pricing accuracy and resolving pricing discrepancies where necessary.
- Assisting with promotional events and special store campaigns.
- Helping minimise stock losses by following loss prevention procedures and reporting suspicious activity.
- Providing customers with product information and general assistance.
- Remaining calm and efficient during busy trading periods.
- Following Woolworths policies regarding attendance, hygiene, dress code, and customer service standards.
- Participating in team meetings and contributing to a positive working environment.
