Drivers are expected to maintain excellent customer service standards while ensuring deliveries and collections are completed accurately and on schedule. The role also requires carrying out vehicle inspections before, during, and after trips, reporting any defects immediately, and ensuring that company vehicles remain clean, roadworthy, and secure at all times.

Key Responsibilities
The successful candidate will be responsible for:
- Safely transporting company goods, equipment, publications, and authorised passengers.
- Ensuring the correct goods are loaded, transported, and delivered.
- Verifying that delivery documentation matches the goods being transported.
- Conducting pre-trip, on-route, and post-trip vehicle inspections.
- Completing vehicle inspection reports and trip sheets accurately.
- Reporting vehicle defects, breakdowns, delays, or accidents immediately.
- Maintaining the cleanliness and roadworthiness of the allocated vehicle.
- Ensuring the safe custody of company property, cargo, handheld devices, and equipment.
- Collecting and banking company cash where required.
- Collecting proof of delivery documentation.
- Monitoring customer outlets to ensure company products are correctly displayed and adequately stocked.
- Reporting damaged or missing goods to management immediately.
- Following authorised travel routes and company transport procedures.
- Completing deliveries and collections within scheduled timeframes.
- Assisting with transporting employees and guests when authorised.
- Attending required driver training and safety programmes.
- Maintaining full compliance with company health, safety, and operational policies.
- Performing additional duties assigned by management when required.
Minimum Requirements
Applicants should possess:
- Minimum 3 years’ driving experience.
- Valid Driver’s Licence.
- Valid Professional Driving Permit (PrDP).
- Good geographical knowledge.
- Matric (Grade 12) is advantageous.
- Ability to work independently and responsibly.
- Strong communication skills.
- Good record-keeping and administrative abilities.
- Professional appearance and punctuality.
- Willingness to undergo medical examinations if required.
