Job Overview
Fidelity Services Group is recruiting a CCTV Controller / Investigator for its Midrand branch. This role is ideal for experienced security professionals with a background in investigations and CCTV surveillance who can work independently while supporting business operations and security investigations.
The successful candidate will monitor CCTV systems, investigate security incidents, review and analyse surveillance footage, gather evidence, compile detailed reports, and work closely with internal departments, clients, SAPS, and other stakeholders. The position also includes supervising CCTV operators, ensuring compliance with company procedures, maintaining investigation records, and supporting the Operations Manager with security-related activities.
Applicants should have previous investigation experience, strong analytical skills, excellent report-writing abilities, and a high level of integrity and confidentiality.
Key Responsibilities
- Monitor CCTV systems and ensure continuous surveillance coverage.
- Conduct investigations into theft, misconduct, and security incidents.
- Review, analyse, and extract CCTV footage for investigations.
- Interview employees relevant to investigations.
- Gather and preserve evidence in a lawful manner.
- Compile professional investigation and incident reports.
- Maintain CCTV records, evidence, and investigation files.
- Attend to client complaints professionally and promptly.
- Supervise CCTV operators and ensure procedural compliance.
- Liaise with SAPS, legal teams, claims departments, and other stakeholders.
- File and archive investigation documentation accurately.
- Ensure investigations are completed within required deadlines.
- Report findings to management and clients.
- Identify security risks and recommend appropriate action.
- Work overtime and travel when operationally required.
Minimum Requirements
Applicants should have:
- Previous investigation experience (essential).
- CCTV monitoring and surveillance experience.
- Knowledge of security procedures, access control, and incident management.
- Valid driver’s licence and own reliable transport.
- Valid passport.
- No criminal record or pending criminal cases.
- Good command of the English language.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Must reside in Midrand or Pretoria.
- A formal security-related qualification will be advantageous.
- Understanding of the Fidelity Services Group environment will be advantageous.
