Job Overview
Compass Medical Waste Services is looking for an experienced Security Supervisor to oversee the safety and security of its employees, assets, and daily operations. The successful candidate will supervise security personnel, ensure compliance with company policies, investigate incidents, and maintain a secure working environment while promoting professionalism and safety across the workplace.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise and coordinate all security personnel and daily security operations.
- Ensure compliance with company security policies, procedures, and regulations.
- Monitor access control systems and visitor management processes.
- Conduct routine patrols and inspections of company premises.
- Investigate security incidents and prepare reports with corrective recommendations.
- Manage security shift rosters and ensure adequate staff coverage.
- Conduct toolbox talks, security briefings, and on-the-job training.
- Liaise with law enforcement agencies, emergency services, and external security providers.
- Ensure all security equipment and systems are operational and properly maintained.
- Promote a culture of safety, vigilance, and professionalism.
Minimum Requirements
- Grade 12 (Matric).
- Valid PSIRA Grade A or Grade B registration.
- 3–5 years’ experience in a security supervisory role.
- Valid driver’s licence.
- Computer literacy (Microsoft Office Suite).
- Knowledge of security operations, access control, investigations, and incident management.
- Licensed firearm owner.
- Willingness to work shifts, weekends, and public holidays.
