Key Responsibilities
The successful candidate will be responsible for:
- Operating a reach truck safely and efficiently throughout each shift.
- Replenishing stock in picking locations according to warehouse requirements.
- Moving inventory between bulk storage, intermediate areas, and picking locations.
- Following system-generated instructions using warehouse scanners.
- Ensuring all scanning activities are completed accurately and in sequence.
- Maintaining required productivity and replenishment targets.
- Conducting daily inspections of the reach truck before and after every shift.
- Completing Motorised Equipment Checklists and Damage Control Forms.
- Reporting any equipment faults or safety concerns immediately.
- Maintaining high standards of housekeeping within the warehouse.
- Following all Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
- Complying with DHL’s Code of Conduct and company policies.
- Adhering to all Health and Safety regulations and safe working practices.
- Carrying out additional operational duties assigned by supervisors where required.
Minimum Requirements
To be considered for this position, applicants should meet the following requirements:
- Matric (Grade 12) with English and Mathematics.
- Minimum of 2 years’ previous work experience.
- Accredited Reach Truck Driver’s Licence.
- Experience operating reach trucks within a warehouse or distribution environment.
- Knowledge and practical experience using the Mole system for shuttle racks.
- Ability to read, understand, and follow operational procedures.
- Good verbal and written communication skills in English.
- Physically fit and capable of working in a warehouse environment.
