In addition to transport duties, you will manage daily vehicle care, log administration, and ad-hoc delivery support. Key Responsibilities & Duties
Operational & Transport Duties
- Crew & Staff Transport: Safely and punctually transport flight crew, cabin staff, and company personnel between airports, hotels, training centers, and specified destinations.
- Ad-Hoc Deliveries: Assist with light logistics, internal mail, and ad-hoc collections or deliveries as required by operations.
- Schedule Adherence: Strictly maintain flight and transfer schedules to guarantee zero delays for flight operations.
Fleet & Vehicle Maintenance
- Daily Inspections: Conduct thorough pre-trip and daily vehicle inspections, reporting defects or maintenance needs immediately.
- Vehicle Upkeep: Ensure assigned vehicles remain clean, immaculate, fuel-serviced, and fully roadworthy at all times.
- Compliance & Admin: Monitor service schedules, license renewals, fuel usage, and logbook entries, ensuring timely submission of trip records and receipts.
Stakeholder Engagement & Safety
- Customer Service: Provide professional, courteous, and respectful service to all passengers and team members.
- Safety Protocols: Comply with all company safety rules, airport security procedures, and national road traffic regulations without exception.
Qualifications & Minimum Requirements
- Education: Grade 12 / Matric certificate or equivalent qualification (Essential).
- Licensing: Valid Code B (Unendorsed) Driver’s License with a valid Professional Driving Permit (PDP) (Essential).
- Experience: Minimum of 2 years of professional driving experience, ideally transporting crew or staff (Essential).
- Availability: Fully willing and available to work flexible shifts, night shifts, weekends, and public holidays.
- Health & Fitness: Must be medically fit to fulfill driving and light handling duties.
- Knowledge: Sound knowledge of road traffic laws, basic vehicle maintenance, and regional JHB routes.
