Job Purpose
The purpose of this role is to provide efficient and friendly cashier services while supporting daily catering operations. The Cashier is responsible for processing customer transactions accurately, maintaining cash control procedures, assisting with food preparation and service, and ensuring every customer receives a professional and welcoming experience.
Key Responsibilities
The successful candidate will be expected to:
- Process cash, card, and other payment transactions accurately.
- Operate the cash register efficiently and correctly.
- Provide friendly and professional customer service at all times.
- Prepare and serve high-quality meals, sandwiches, snacks, and beverages.
- Maintain high standards of hygiene, cleanliness, and food safety.
- Follow all cash handling procedures and company policies.
- Assist with stock-taking and inventory control.
- Help prevent stock losses by following company loss prevention procedures.
- Ensure attractive presentation of food products.
- Build and maintain positive relationships with customers.

- Support the implementation of cash control measures within the unit.
- Work effectively as part of the catering team to ensure smooth daily operations.
Minimum Requirements
Applicants should meet the following requirements:
- Matric (Grade 12).
- Previous cashier or cash-handling experience.
- Previous catering or food service experience is advantageous but not essential.
- Good customer service and communication skills.
- Ability to work under pressure.
- Reliable and punctual.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
