About the Opportunity
Premier Fort Jackson Bakery is inviting applications from hardworking, reliable, and motivated individuals for the position of Loader. This permanent opportunity is based in East London, Eastern Cape, and forms part of the Dispatch Department.
The successful candidate will report directly to the Dispatch Supervisor and will play an important role in ensuring that bread is loaded and offloaded accurately, safely, and efficiently. The position is ideal for someone who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment and is committed to maintaining high standards of quality, productivity, and customer service.
Minimum Requirements
Applicants must meet the following requirements:
- Grade 12 (Matric)
- Good numerical skills
- At least 3 months’ experience in a similar loading or dispatch position within the FMCG industry
- Ability to work under pressure
- Good communication and teamwork skills
- Willingness to work shifts, weekends, and public holidays
Key Responsibilities
The successful candidate will be responsible for:
- Loading and offloading bread according to company Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs)
- Following the correct loading and offloading sequence to ensure operational efficiency
- Counting and balancing bread trays on delivery vehicles
- Ensuring that only quality bread is loaded and dispatched
- Applying the FIFO (First In, First Out) stock rotation method
- Reporting any loading or offloading issues to the Offloads Supervisor
- Attending daily Invocoms meetings
- Maintaining cleanliness and order within the dispatch area
- Following all health and safety regulations
- Ensuring compliance with company policies and procedures
- Assisting the dispatch team in meeting daily production and delivery targets
